Leah completed her BSN at East Carolina University in 2012.  She began her nursing career as a bedside nurse in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in North Carolina.  From there she continued to work as a pediatric intensive care nurse at Geisinger and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.  After several years of working in intensive care, she transitioned to surgical services at Nemours.

Leah completed her MSN at Gwynedd Mercy University in 2019.  She is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

She lives in Delaware County with her husband, son and dog.
